The sale of Michael Jackson's infamous white glove is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the diehard fan. The chance to own an important piece of the Jackson legacy, perhaps the most important, is a considerable draw and the auctioneers are confident of a groundswell of interest. Suit of LightsProfiles in History will display the glove at the annual Comic Con Convention in San Diego July 23 - 26 in advance of the sale in the fall. Jackson’s signature crystal embedded glove will go to auction October 2 and 3 in Los Angeles along with other priceless Jackson memorabilia under the Profiles in History auction house. The house snagged a parcel of items, including the glove, which was part of the Suit of Lights Jackson wore during his groundbreaking 1984 Victory Tour, just days after Jackson's passing. ProvenanceDesigner Ted Shell made two identical gloves for Jackson in 1984.They are bedazzled with bugle beads and Austrian crystal rhinestones and fitted with 50 small lights powered by a single 9v battery placed in the cuff of the glove.
